we all gathered to witness the grand finale of Bigard’s Centenary Anniversary.

The mammoth crowd that filled the sacred walls of Bigard created a joyous atmosphere of nostalgia and friendship. From the glorious presence of Cardinals, Archbishops, and Bishops to the long procession of priests stretching from the Auditorium, through Jeanne Bigard Avenue, and into the Centenary Arena, the faithful gathered in droves to witness this great event. Everything about today was a creation of eternal and beautiful memories that will echo for generations.

The joyful reunion this centenary celebration offered will remain indelible. Friends and classmates spanning decades, embedded in the century-long age of Mother Bigard, reconnected after many years. They shared old jokes, visited iconic structures and buildings within the compound, and relived cherished memories.

For our newly ordained deacons, today marked the realization of dreams ignited many years ago.

The glorious aura that enveloped Bigard today speaks of the power of humble beginnings deeply steeped in resilience. Rt. Rev. Joseph Shanahan’s 100-year-old vision has blossomed into a numerical miracle of faith, reflected in the spiritual explosion that Bigard has birthed over the decades.
