The Oyo State Police Command has elevated 159 Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and outstanding performance.
This was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday in Ibadan by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Adewale Osifeso, who said the promotion reflects Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun’s commitment to rewarding excellence within the force.
During the decoration ceremony, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, commended the officers for their courage, professionalism, and unwavering service to the community. He stressed the importance of a structured reward system to motivate personnel toward consistent excellence.
“The promotion you have received today is not only an acknowledgment of your hard work but also a reminder to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity as you take on your new roles,” Haruna said.
The newly promoted officers expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of Police and pledged to remain committed to their duties and the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
Osifeso added that the Command remains steadfast in encouraging professionalism, celebrating achievements, and fostering public trust through effective policing.
Among those promoted are ASP Eriarehmhien Ayishat, ASP Coker Bunmi, and ASP Tina Osuoza.
