Nigeria’s senior men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, has officially opened camp in Abuja ahead of the next phase of the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket qualifiers. The training camp, which began yesterday, features 11 home-based players, with their foreign-based counterparts expected to join later.
According to the Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF), the preparation will take place in two phases. The first phase, which runs from February 10 to February 16, will be held at Bentley Hotel, Abuja, and will focus on home-based talents.
The second phase will see selected home-based players linking up with their foreign-based teammates in Tripoli, Libya, where they will finalize preparations ahead of the competition.
D’Tigers are looking to secure a strong position in the qualifiers as they aim for a spot in the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket tournament.
