This unfortunate report where at least seven passengers got burnt to death as a commercial bus caught fire in the Iyana Oworo area of Lagos State.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday.
Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA permanent secretary, attributed the cause of the accident to reckless driving.
He disclosed further, that the driver escaped with some burns, three female adults were rescued and rushed to Gbagada General Hospital while a male adult was attended to by LASAMBUS at the scene.
Unfortunately, Seven victims that is, four females, two male adults and one male child in the bus were burnt to death.
All the remains have been bagged by the Agency’s LRT Paramedics, LASAMBUS official and handed over to the appropriate authorities.
