There is need for schools to go beyond theoretical to practical work on the farms in their teaching of agricultural studies to students.
This is according to Special Adviser to one time Minister of Agriculture ,Dr Kayode Oyeleye. Oyeleye said this at an event to mark the commemoration of 2022 World food day.
According to him, practical work would also stir up students interest in agriculture. He further encouraged school owners to get land where practical work on agriculture can be carried out.
On the other hand, Convener, Gourmet Guide234, Lydia Eke believes that teaching schools students agriculture at an early stage would help solve the problem of food challenges and insecurity in the country. She is also advocating for the use of technology in food production.
