Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, will lead other eminent leaders and global health experts at the unveiling of the Care365 Health Hub in Abuja.
The event is scheduled for Sept. 2 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre.
Mr. Ngozi Odumuko, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Care365 Health Hub, disclosed this in a statement on Monday. He described the initiative as a transformative healthcare innovation conceived in the United States and now being launched in Nigeria.
According to him, the Care365 Mobile Clinic is designed to provide flexible healthcare solutions to underserved and remote communities, ensuring essential medical services and consultations are accessible to vulnerable populations.
He added that the Care365 Telemedicine Mobile and Web App will enable seamless virtual consultations with doctors, offering e-prescriptions, referrals, medical record management, and continuous patient engagement.
“The Specialist Doctors Pool brings together a network of physicians from Nigeria, the United States, Europe, Canada, and Asia, offering global-standard expertise and specialist care through the hub,” Odumuko said.
He noted that Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, who serves as Chief Host and Chairman of Care365 Health Hub, will lead the event, while Obasanjo will chair and preside over the unveiling.
The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, is expected to commission the project, while former President Goodluck Jonathan will serve as Guest of Honour.
Other dignitaries expected include the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike, state governors, ministers, senior government officials, private sector leaders, international partners, and industry stakeholders.
Care365 Mobile Health Clinics are designed to deliver on-site consultations, screenings, and preventive care directly to communities, with a focus on reducing the urban-rural healthcare divide and reaching vulnerable groups such as the elderly, low-income families, and persons with mobility challenges.
The initiative aims to promote health equity and strengthen universal health coverage in line with national and global development goals.
