ADC Coalition Ramps Up Pressure on APC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Lagos , Nigeria

As Nigeria approaches the 2027 general elections, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition is intensifying its political campaign against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The ADC has openly declared that “time’s up for APC,” signaling a strong challenge to the party that has been in power for several years.

In a series of rallies and public statements this week, ADC leaders have criticized the APC government for what they describe as widespread corruption, economic mismanagement, and failure to address critical issues like insecurity and unemployment. The coalition insists that Nigerians are ready for a change and has vowed to present a united front to wrest power away from the APC.

“We believe that the APC has failed Nigerians and it is time for a new direction,” said a prominent ADC spokesperson. “Our coalition is focused on grassroots mobilization, policy-driven campaigns, and building alliances across the country to ensure a credible alternative in 2027.”

Political analysts say the ADC’s move to consolidate opposition forces and increase pressure on the APC could reshape the political landscape, especially as voters grow increasingly dissatisfied with the status quo. However, the APC remains confident, pointing to ongoing developmental projects and economic plans as reasons for voters to renew their mandate.

As the 2027 elections draw nearer, all eyes will be on how effectively the ADC can convert its rhetoric into electoral success and whether it can pose a serious threat to the dominant APC.
