President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently holding a meeting with the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to information obtained by VOP News, the Chairman of the National Assembly paid the president a visit just hours after the Senate went into closed-door session to discuss problems raised against Festus Keyamo, a Delta State ministry nominee.
As earlier heard Darlington Nwokocha, a Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, had moved to suspend Keyamo’s screening. According to Daily trust.
Also senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, representing Abia-South Senatorial District, seconded his motion.
Senate president Godswill Akpabio then put the move to a voice vote, but the parliamentarians were split on the issue.
He supported Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele’s motion to convene the red chamber in closed session to discuss the problem. According to information obtained by Daily trust.
Senator Nwokocha has accused Keyamo of insulting the 9th National Assembly and accusing it of corruption.
