Awka, Anambra State – The Anambra State Police Command has launched an intensive operation to re-arrest two suspects who escaped custody while assisting in the investigation of the murder of the late Hon. Justice Azuka, a lawmaker representing Onitsha 1 Constituency in the State House of Assembly.

Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, upon receiving reports of the suspects’ escape on February 18, 2025, immediately deployed human, operational, and intelligence resources to track them down. He also ordered disciplinary action against the officers whose negligence led to the escape.
