Ancelotti To leave Real Madrid At End Of Season/Vop

In a huge development, Carlo Ancelotti has decided to leave Real Madrid at the end of the ongoing season, according to reports from Onda Cero.

The legendary Italian coach, who renewed his contract with Los Blancos in December 2023 amid rumours about the Brazilian Football Federation’s interest in appointing him as their national team coach, has enjoyed a highly successful second stint at the club.

Ancelotti has won two La Liga titles, two UEFA Champions Leagues, a Copa del Rey, two UEFA Super Cups, two Spanish Super Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup and one FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

The 65-year-old has become the most decorated manager in Real Madrid’s history with the most number of trophies won.

Ancelotti’s contract renewal in December 2023 tied him down to the club until the summer of 2026, meaning he will still have a year left on his deal at the end of the current season.

However, even if the current season ends with more trophies and the club insists on him fulfilling his contract, he intends to bring his tenure at Real Madrid to a close this summer.

While he enjoys each day at the club, having returned full of enthusiasm and found complete happiness in the Spanish capital, Ancelotti feels that his second spell at the Santiago Bernabeu will end this summer, regardless of the outcome.

The former Chelsea boss has come under intense pressure this season following an iffy start to the campaign as well as their disappointing performances in the two Clasico matches.

As things stand, Ancelotti is said to be not contemplating retirement but intends to continue coaching in another country.

In case, the Italian does end up leaving Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso is touted as the favourite to replace him.
