Apapa’s Faction Says Making Obi LP Presidential Candidate Regrettable Decision

The media stakeholders has advised Broadcasters to always follow the laid down rules and regulations of the NBC code to avoid fines.

This was enthused by the Erstwhile Zonal Director of the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Dr. Chibuike Vincent Ogwumike at his send forth/appreciation party held today at the Airport Golden Tulip hotels in Lagos.

He urged broadcasters to be responsible enough in the discharge of their duties in order to be able to hold the government accountable.

In a brief interview with our News correspondent, the former Zonal director of NBC in Lagos, Dr. Chibuike Vincent Ogwumike speaks on his service time in Lagos, expectations for the next zonal director and the court judgement stating that NBC has no right to fine broadcast stations.

 Meanwhile, the Lamidi Apapa  faction of the Labour Party, LP, has lamented over the choice of Peter Obi as its presidential candidate in the 2023 elections.

The faction said the party made a mistake by fielding Obi as its presidential candidate.

They alleged that Obi lied federally to the presidential election tribunal over some electoral documents from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

This was contained in a statement signed by its suspended National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, to celebrate Obi’s 62nd birthday.

According to Arabambi, the National Working Committee, NWC of the Labour Party felicitated with Obi on his 62nd birthday anniversary but stated that they regret fielding him on the platform of the party, in the light of recent development particularly actions that undermined the discipline the Labour party has been known for.
