The nomination is now awaiting confirmation by the Kano State House of Assembly. Yahya, 47, holds a degree in Economics from Bayero University Kano and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Venture Creation.
He brings over 18 years of experience from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), where he held key roles in investigations, project monitoring, and operations.
Governor Yusuf also approved the appointment of Barrister Hafsat Ada’u Kutama as the new Secretary and Legal Adviser of the commission. She replaces Zaharadden Hamisu Kofar Mata, who will now serve in the Ministry of Justice.
Governor Yusuf praised the outgoing chairman for his service and promised continued collaboration.
