The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has called on the opposition political parties to merge against the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Atiku said the opposing political parties should form a coalition because APC was pushing Nigeria into dictatorship and a one-party state.
Atiku spoke while receiving a delegation from the national executive committee of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC on Tuesday.
The former Vice President noted that Nigeria’s democracy would suffer if there was no viable opposition.
According to Atiku: The project of protecting democracy in our country is not about just one man.
