Bishop Ezeokafor Commissions Fully Equipped Science Laboratories at St Anthony’s Catholic Comprehensive Institute, Agulu, for 21st Century Education

The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, has commissioned Biology and Chemistry laboratories equipped with modern facilities, at St Anthony’s Catholic Comprehensive Institute, Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State, for 21st Century education.

Bishop Ezeokafor, who was on a pastoral visit to the institution, also blessed and commissioned other projects at the institution which included modern entrance gate with security tower as well as visitors’ room, and a renovated two-storey classroom building, which houses the science laboratories.

Speaking in a homily during a Pontifical Holy Mass heralding the epoch-making event, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor, who hinted that the essence of Catholic education is integral formation of human beings, expressed satisfaction on the infrastructural development and esthetic beauty of the institution.

The Prelate, who among other things, thanked the management and the staff of the institution for their excellent service to the institution.

Inauguration of the 2024/2025 Academic Year by the Bishop, presentation of awards of academic excellence to best students of the institution, sacramental confirmation of 315, among others, were parts of the event, which attracted heavy presence of Catholic priests, government officials, and community leaders.
