A national delegation of the Mater Ecclesiae Seminary Old Boys Association (MESOBA), led by its National President, Mr. Malachy Onwumere, visited their Life Patron, Most Rev. Dr. Simeon Okezuo Nwobi, CMF, Catholic Bishop of Ahiara Diocese, as part of their Christmas celebrations.
The visit served as an opportunity to create awareness for MESOBA’s upcoming 10th Anniversary celebration, scheduled for December 28, 2024, at Chris VI Hotel, Mbaise. During the event, Bishop Nwobi is set to receive a special award in recognition of his contributions to the association and the seminary.
In a gesture symbolizing their appreciation, the MESOBA delegation presented the Bishop with a customised football jersey featuring the number 10, playfully dubbing him their “top striker.” This was in anticipation of the MESOBA Football World Cup Finals, set to take place this Saturday at Mater Ecclesiae Seminary. His Lordship is expected to perform the ceremonial kickoff at 9:30 am.
As the association rallies support for their milestone anniversary, the resounding cry remains: Mater Ecclesiae, ora pro nobis!
