In the early hours of Friday morning, an accident involving multiple vehicle occurred at the Kara Bridge inward OPIC, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, leading to traffic congestion stretching back to the Otedola Bridge area.
A post by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority via its official handle at 7:40 a.m., says that, the incident has attracted the attention of emergency responders, including LASTMA personnel who swiftly arrived at the scene.
“We recorded an accident on Kara bridge inward Opic on Lagos Ibadan Express Way with multiple vehicles. LASTMA personnel and other Emergency responders have swung into action to rescue the victims and also clear the affected vehicles.” The agency said.
The post further stated that, the severity of the crash was enough to impact traffic flow significantly, causing delays and long queues for motorists heading inward Lagos.
“The incident has dragged traffic backwards Otedola bridge,” LASTMA stated.
