BUHARI CONDEMNS FRESH KILLINGS IN BENUE, SAYS PERPETRATORS WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE

President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that the perpetrators of the recent killings in Benue state will be held accountable.

At least 36 persons were killed on Wednesday in an attack by gunmen on Gbeji community in Ukum LGA of Benue.

In a statement issued on Saturday by Garba Shehu, his spokesperson, the president said it is unacceptable “for lives to be taken by herdsmen and farmers alike”.

President Buhari said the federal government will assist the state in investigating and bringing the culprits to book.
