Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, over the weekend celebrated the wedding of his son, Gbolahan Adeleke, as photos and videos from the ceremony surfaced online.
In one of the viral clips, the governor was seen speaking fondly about his son during the wedding reception. Adeleke revealed that he and Gbolahan share similar preferences in women, a remark that quickly caught the attention of guests and social media users.
According to the governor, his son often brought different ladies home in the past, prompting him to ask when he intended to settle down. He recalled that Gbolahan would always respond that he was still “testing” and would introduce his wife once he found the right person.
Governor Adeleke said the moment his son brought Damilola home, he immediately knew she was the one, noting that she shared similar features with his wife.
The governor’s remarks sparked mixed reactions online. While some social media users expressed surprise at his comments and questioned how he responded as a parent when his son brought multiple ladies home, others joked that the governor must have been a “bad boy” himself to understand his son’s taste so well.
However, many praised Governor Adeleke for his openness and free-spirited nature, describing him as an open-minded leader who speaks candidly, even in public.
The Osun State governor is widely known for his close relationship with his children from both his wife and estranged partner. He has often been seen spending quality time with them and was previously spotted drumming and singing alongside one of his sons, who is a musician.
