The Catholic Bishop of Lafia Diocese, Most Rev. David Ajang, has urged the Federal Government to urgently take steps toward tackling hunger and the security challenges currently confronting the nation.
Ajang made the call today at a Thanksgiving Mass organised by the Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe, held at St Aloysius Catholic Church, Doma.
The bishop said tackling insecurity and hunger would not only promote peace but would significantly improve the living standard of Nigerians.
The cleric, who quoted various verses in the Bible, called on Christians and Nigerians in general to eschew evil, adding that such move would enable them inherit God’s kingdom.
Ajang also urged Nigerians to use their God’s given talents toward promoting peace and development in the nation.
