Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team has been drawn in Group D of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), where they will face Senegal, Congo, and Sudan. The tournament, set to take place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, is scheduled for August.
The CHAN tournament, featuring 19 teams, includes 17 already confirmed, with two spots yet to be decided in a special qualifying round. Nigeria will aim to secure their first-ever championship title since the competition’s inception in 2009.
The draw, announced on Wednesday, also highlighted Senegal’s quest to defend their title and secure consecutive wins.

Group B: Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic
Group C: Uganda, Niger Republic, Guinea, Wild Card 1, Wild Card 2
Group D: Senegal, Congo Brazzaville, Sudan, Nigeria
The finals were initially scheduled for February but were postponed by CAF to give host nations more time to complete essential facilities. Specific dates and fixtures for the tournament will be announced in the coming months.
