Top Premier League club Chelsea remains interested in acquiring Victor Osimhen, despite failing to secure his signing in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea made a last-minute attempt to bring Osimhen over from Napoli, but both the Italian club and the player were unimpressed with the offer presented by the London team. The proposal included a request for Osimhen to take a pay cut, as well as a demand for Napoli to lower their asking price for the striker.
Currently, Chelsea is closely monitoring Osimhen’s situation once more, as reported by TBR Football. While they are satisfied with Senegalese forward Nicolas Jackson, they are also keen to add another quality striker to their lineup.
In addition to Osimhen, the club is keeping an eye on other forwards, such as Alexander Isak from Newcastle United and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. Meanwhile, Italian clubs AC Milan and Juventus are also reportedly showing interest in the Nigerian striker.
