China Hosts Global Summit with Putin, Modi, and Over 18 Heads of State

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and more than 18 other world leaders have arrived in China for a high-level international summit aimed at strengthening global cooperation.

The meeting, hosted in Beijing, is expected to focus on issues such as trade, security, climate change, and regional development. Analysts say China is using the summit to project itself as a central player in shaping the future of international relations.

The presence of leaders from Russia, India, and other major economies underlines the growing importance of multilateral forums outside traditional Western alliances. Observers note that this reflects a shift in how global power is distributed, with countries in Asia and the Global South seeking stronger voices on the world stage.

For ordinary citizens, the outcomes of such summits often translate into new policies on energy, technology partnerships, and economic opportunities, but also raise questions about how global rivalries might affect peace and stability.

While the world watches Beijing, attention will be on whether participating leaders can move beyond politics to deliver agreements that address real challenges facing billions of people across the globe.
