Christians have been encouraged to enter into a covenant with God through sacrifice in order to receive His blessings and protection.
Delivering a sermon at Archbishop Nweje Memorial Anglican Church, Odoakpu, Onitsha South Council Area, Reverend Nonso Blessed, a visiting priest from Christ Anglican Township Church, Umudioka, emphasized the theme “God of Covenant.” He noted that God takes His covenant seriously and extends His blessings to those who commit to Him, reaching up to the fourth generation. He urged the faithful to serve God with a sincere heart.
The Vicar of the church, Reverend Barrister Chukwudi Chugbo, also advised Christians to remain deeply rooted in Christ. He stressed that true faith is centered on Jesus Christ and encouraged believers to start, live, and find their purpose in Him.
The service featured fervent prayers and a session of thanksgiving by the congregation.
