Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday ordered the final forfeiture of the sum of N775 million naira and some property linked to a former Accountant-General of the Federation, Jonah Otunla and Colonel Bello Fadile, an aide to the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, to the Federal Government.
The property, according to a statement by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission last night, include a building in Maitama, Abuja, Others are: a hotel that is under construction with generating set.
The statement signed by the commission’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said the money and properties were the product of illicit activities of Otunla and Colonel Fadile.
Uwujaren said Justice Okorowo, in granting the final forfeiture, stated that the court was satisfied with the evidence before it and ordered the final forfeiture of the assets to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
