CROSS RIVER GETS NEW ELECTORAL COMMISSIONER

A new Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor Gabriel Yomere, has assumed duty at the Independent National Electoral Commission, Cross River State.

He took over on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from Alalibo Johnson, who was redeployed to Rivers State.

According to a statement on today by the Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, INEC Cross River State, Anthonia Nwobi, Yomere was among the 19 newly sworn-in RECs on November 3, 2022.

She said Yomere had started holding meetings with critical stakeholders in the electoral process and had met with the Commissioner of Police, State Director of DSS, Navy, chairmen of political parties,
Addressing the management staff on arrival, the new REC urged them to cooperate with him for a successful tenure.
