Diaconate Ordination And Installation Of Lectors And Acolytes

Holy Family Fathers and Brothers of the Youth (HFFBY) marked a significant milestone in their community with the 2024 Diaconate Ordination and the installation of Lectors and Acolytes.

The grand event took place at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha, where six brothers were ordained as deacons in a solemn ceremony presided over by His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian M. Okeke, the Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province.

In a related event, several brothers were installed into the ministries of Lectors and Acolytes at St. Gabriel’s Spiritual Year Seminary, Ozubulu. This ceremony was officiated by Most Rev. Jonas Benson Okoye, further enriching the day’s spiritual significance.

The faithful gathered in large numbers to celebrate this joyous occasion, which highlights the growth of vocations in the Church. These newly ordained deacons and the newly installed Lectors and Acolytes are set to dedicate themselves to the service of God and His people.

The day concluded with heartfelt prayers of thanksgiving, as the community celebrated this divine blessing.
