Donald Duke: Backs ADC, Ogar’s Chairmanship Sparks New Political Energy in Cross River

Former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, has said that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is gaining momentum across the state, as party leaders intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of future elections.

Duke made the assertion during a party meeting in Ogar, where the ADC chairman in the area also highlighted growing acceptance of the party among residents. According to them, increasing membership and support reflect public dissatisfaction with the existing political order.

Speaking at the gathering, the Ogar ADC chairman said the party has continued to attract supporters from different political backgrounds, noting that many citizens are drawn to its message of inclusive governance and development-focused leadership.

Donald Duke, a prominent political figure in the state, urged party members to remain united and committed to building a strong political structure at the ward and local government levels. He stressed that sustained grassroots engagement would be key to translating the party’s growing popularity into electoral success.

The former governor also called on youths and professionals to take active roles in the party, describing ADC as a viable alternative capable of addressing the socio-economic challenges facing Cross River State.

Party officials expressed confidence that the increasing momentum would position the ADC as a strong contender in the state’s political landscape as preparations for upcoming elections gather pace.
