The Commissioner for Aviation and Technology in Ebonyi State, Mrs Ngozi Obichukwu, has said the state government will spend N13.7bn to fix the worn-out runway of the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport, Onueke.
Obichukwu, who stated this in Abakaliki, on Tuesday, named Infrastructure Development Company as the contractor handling the project.
She said the project would be completed within eight months.
According to the commissioner, the runway, when completed, will boost the economic viability and development of the state “by a greater percentage”.
