The Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 37 suspects in connection with alleged internet fraud activitie
Codenamed ‘Operation Eagle Sweep,’ the operation was carried out on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, following credible intelligence on the suspects’ activities across multiple locations in the state.
Recovered items include various models of luxury vehicles, smartphones, smartwatches, international passports, ATM cards from multiple banks, and laptops containing incriminating materials. According to the EFCC, investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be prosecuted once inquiries are complete
