We begin the news bulletin with report that Muslims in the country have joined counterparts in the world to mark the Eidel Kabir.

The Eidel Kabir festival is marked on the tenth day of the Islamic month of Dhul-Hijja after pilgrims in Saudi Arabia descends from the Mount Arafat.

The festival is also marked in honor of Prophet IBRAHEEM who obeyed his pledge to Allah to sacrifice his son, ISHMAEEL.

Hundreds of Muslim faithful across the Lagos metropolis trooped out early today in large number to observe the mandatory two Rakat prayers at Lagos Island, Obalende, Idi Araba, Ebute Metta, Ajegunle, Ikorodu, Badagry and Epe.

At various Eid grounds, the Imams later led the congregation in prayers for peace to return to the country.
