The Special Ad-Hoc Committee of the House of Representatives overseeing the situation in Rivers State has rescheduled its interactive session with the state’s Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd.).
The session, initially set for Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM, was intended to deliberate on recent developments in the state and explore pathways toward stability and governance.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the House Spokesman, Akintunde Rotimi, announced that the postponement followed a formal request from Vice Admiral Ibas.
According to the statement, the Ad-Hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight received and acknowledged the Administrator’s request to defer the engagement. The Committee affirmed that it is working to coordinate a new date for the session.
“In the spirit of transparent and effective oversight, the Committee will communicate the rescheduled date to the public once it is confirmed,” the statement added.
