Ethiopian Airlines to Increase Lagos Flight Frequency to Twice Daily from July 1
Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s leading carrier, has announced plans to double its flights to Lagos, offering two daily services (14 weekly flights) starting from July 1.
Mrs. Firiehiwot Mekonnen, the airline’s Area Manager in Nigeria, confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday.
The additional flights will provide faster and more efficient connections to various destinations across Africa and Asia. Mekonnen highlighted that these increased frequencies will reduce overall flight times, making travel more convenient for passengers.
The new schedule includes four evening departures at 10:00 p.m. and three morning departures at 5:40 a.m. The existing daily midday flight will remain unchanged, while the new services will operate at different times.
“We are excited to provide our passengers with more flight options from Lagos. These extra services will improve the travel experience and help reduce travel costs,” Mekonnen said.
She also explained that the 10:00 p.m. flight (ET 902) arrives in Addis Ababa at 5:20 a.m., offering connections to cities such as Dubai, São Paulo, Tel Aviv, and more. Meanwhile, the 5:40 a.m. flight (ET 904) reaches Addis Ababa at 1:00 p.m., with further connections to destinations including Dubai, São Paulo, Tel Aviv, and Mumbai.
