Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, has visited Eha Amufu community where clashes between farmers and herders led to the deaths of some villagers.
The Governor disclosed that the visit was to obtain first-hand information about the issues that led to the recent crisis with a view to addressing them.
He sympathised with the people and assured them of his administration’s commitment to their safety and wellbeing, as well as permanent resolution of the crisis.
Members of the community, in separate remarks, appreciated the governor for his commitment to ending the farmers-herders issues in Eha Amufu.
They further thanked him for the N10 million donation released for the immediate needs of the victims, among other interventions.
