The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), has announced an upward review of the state’s 2025 budget from ₦1.48 trillion to ₦1.846 trillion—an increase of approximately ₦400 billion.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara had earlier presented a budget of ₦1.188 trillion, but the revised figure signals a major shift in the state’s financial planning, likely to accommodate new infrastructure projects, social programs, and sectoral adjustments.
The revised appropriation bill is expected to be sent to the State House of Assembly for approval.
