FG Sets Minimum Toll at ₦3,000 Per Gate for Coastal Roads

The Minister of Works Dave Umahi has announced that once the Lagos-Calabar highway project is completed, the Federal Government plans to implement an average toll fee of N3,000 per toll gate.

Umahi made the confirmation during an appearance on a Channels Television program, emphasizing that motorists can expect a toll charge of N3,000 per gate along the highway.

Giving instance of tolling 50,000 vehicles in a day at these rates could generate the cost of implementing the project in 15 years on average.

According to him, there will be security at the toll gates and also some facilities including filling stations, restaurants, parking lots, and CCTV cameras.
