Five male suspects have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of 46-year-old Lanre Adebayo, a political science graduate from the University of Ilorin. According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday night in the Ita-Elepa area of Ilorin West Local Government Area.
Details gathered by VOPTV indicate that Adebayo was involved in a heated argument with local security men on his way home, which escalated into violence. Unfortunately, he was allegedly macheted to death around 10:00 p.m.
The suspects, including the community chairman and two local security guards, were arrested by police operatives on Tuesday and transferred to the Kwara State Criminal Investigation Department headquarters on Wednesday.
