The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC Funso Doherty, on Saturday, said louts, popularly called ‘Agbero’, were part of the power structures that brought the ruling party into power in the state.
Doherty, while addressing journalists during a campaign tagged ‘Funso Doherty runs Lagos’, noted that touts were central to the problems confronting residents on various roads in the state.
He explained that a vote for the ruling party would sustain touts’ grip on power, adding that part of his agenda when elected would be to tackle the problems caused by them.
The Lagos state Governorship candidate expressed displeasure over the chaos caused by touts evident in various local governments in the state.
He appealed to Lagosians to elect a leadership with good intentions that will resolve the issue of ‘agbero’ and act in the interest of those people.
