A Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu’s time at Belgian Pro League side Genk might end soon after head coach Dmitri De Conde revealed that the club was willing to accept an offer for the big forward in January.
The 28-year-old prolific scorer has been one of the best strikers in the Belgian Jupiler League, netting 14 goals in 15 appearances for the Smurfs in the 2022/23 season.
According to Belgian online news portal, Voetbal Primeur, Genk will let Onuachu leave for €25 million Euros.
Onachu’s fine form with the Belgian Pro League outfit has attracted interest from several clubs, with Fiorentina, Arsenal, West Ham, Lyon and Atletico Madrid among the top sides linked with the Nigeria international.
Onuachu scored 33 goals in 38 league appearances for the Smurfs two seasons ago, and was also the club’s top scorer last term with 21 goals in 35 league outings.
