The Governor of Enugu State yesterday inaugurated the newly constructed Oranto International Airport Hotel, a state-of-the-art facility built by renowned business mogul Prince Arthur Eze. The hotel, located near Akanu Ibiam International Airport, is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing the state’s status as a growing hub for business and tourism.
Speaking during the event, the Governor praised Prince Arthur Eze for his resilience and determination in completing the project despite numerous challenges. He described the hotel as a key component of the state’s strategy to operationalize the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, launch the Enugu Air initiative, and attract over three million visitors annually.
“This international airport hotel underscores our ambition to position Enugu as a true hub,” the Governor stated, adding that the project aligns seamlessly with the state’s transformative agenda.
He extended his gratitude to Prince Arthur Eze, whom he referred to as his elder brother, for his unwavering commitment to Enugu’s development and for delivering a world-class facility that will benefit residents, visitors, and the economy alike.
The Governor also used the occasion to call on investors, highlighting the Oranto International Airport Hotel as a testament to the state’s readiness to support business ventures.
“With projects like this, we are reinforcing the message that Enugu State is open for business,” he emphasized.
The grand opening of the Oranto International Airport Hotel is expected to contribute significantly to the state’s economic growth, creating jobs and supporting tourism as Enugu continues to solidify its position as a regional and international destination.
