Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, officially presented certificates of recognition to three newly elected traditional rulers in the state. The event, held at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, underscored the administration’s commitment to fostering community participation and strengthening traditional leadership.
The recognized traditional rulers include:
HRH Igwe Timothy Okwudiri Ifurunwa (Igwe Odudu I) of Ihite, Orumba South.
HRH Igwe Francis Ugochukwu Chikezie (Igwe Ugodinaobi) of Azia, Ihiala Local Government.
HRH Igwe (Sir) Obiora Anachuna (Igwe Orazulunye) of Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government.
Governor Soludo praised the newly elected monarchs for their roles in uniting and leading their respective communities, emphasizing the importance of traditional institutions in governance and development.
