In the meantime, Gunmen attacked the residence of the Chief of Fadan Ayu in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State around 11:30pm on Saturday and took away his youngest son, Sahabi Halidu Ibrahim.
The Ayu Traditional Council Secretary, Jibril Adamu Muhammed, who confirmed the incident to Correspondents said from all indications, the attackers were after the traditional ruler because they went straight to his room and started shooting.
He said the kidnappers called to negotiate for his release but it was the victim’s mother who answered and they said they could not negotiate with her but with the father.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna State, Muhammed Jalige is yet to respond to this unfortunate incident.
