Unknown gunmen have reportedly murdered Zachary Nmaduka, the Director General (DG) of the Labour Party (LP) candidate for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the 2023 National Assembly election, Hon. Amobi Oga.
VOP News gathered that the suspected attackers killed and beheaded the 70-year-old and dumped his body in a bush.
The Abia state police command spokesperson, Maureen Chinaka in a statement today said: “On September 13, the DPO Uturu Police division on discreet information concerning the unfortunate murder of Hon. Zachary.
She noted that upon receiving this distressing information, a joint team comprising police and army personnel was swiftly dispatched to the scene where they tragically, recovered his lifeless body.
She explained that Photographic evidence was captured at the scene and investigations are currently ongoing.
