Doma, Nasarawa State – Three security personnel were killed on Wednesday after suspected armed robbers ambushed a patrol team along the Idadu–Agbashi road in Doma Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
The victims have been identified as Police Inspector Christopher Enoh and two vigilante members, Mathew John and Augustine Yusuf, all from Agbashi town.
A source and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, said the patrol team was conducting routine rounds when the attackers opened fire, resulting in the instant deaths of the three operatives.
“The attackers also stole an AK-47 rifle with 30 rounds of ammunition belonging to the late inspector before fleeing the scene,” the source added.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the Agbashi General Hospital mortuary, while security operatives have reportedly intensified efforts to apprehend the gunmen and recover the stolen firearm.
This attack highlights ongoing security challenges in parts of Nasarawa State, prompting urgent calls for increased patrols and rapid response measures in vulnerable areas.
