GUNMEN KILL VIGILANTE HEAD IN OGUN STATE.

Gunmen in Ogun State have killed one Muhammed Oke, a leader of the vigilante group in Isaga/Ilewo-Orile in Abeokuta-North Local Government Area.

The slain vigilante leader was killed around 8:30 a.m on Thursday, after he received a distress call.

Oke was also the ward 15 chairman of African Democratic Congress, Isaga/Ilewo-Orile in the council.

Confirming the incident today, the Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the police has commenced investigation into the incident.

He, however, debunked the claim that it was a case of assassination, saying that the command would not restrict the scope of the investigation.

Oyeyemi disclosed further the police investigation would unveil the circumstance that led to the death of the vigilante leader.
