Former governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, has charged the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at all levels to leverage the country’s youth population to win the 2027 general election.
Speaking at the unveiling of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Northern Forum of Zonal and State Youth Leaders of PDP in Abuja, Shekarau said doing this would help the party to retain power.
He also enjoined the youths to rally round PDP as the only “credible alternative” that would take Nigeria out of its current challenges.
The Kano former governor said the PDP during its 16 years in power delivered the dividend of democracy to the people and made life better, and should be returned in 2027.
Also speaking, Aruwa Ismailab, Chairman, Northern Forum of Zonal and State Youth Leaders of PDP and North Central Zonal Youth Leader of PDP explained that the social media handles are to serve as awareness creation avenues to regain the confidence of Nigerians.
Present at the event were, Hon. Enemona Anyebe (Kogi State Chairman of PDP), DR. Joel E.B Adagadzu (North Central Zonal Organising Secretary), Dr Yunana Iliya (National Ex-Officio) among many others.
