Humanitarian Crisis Worsens in Gaza as Israel-hamas War Intensifies

Israel’s military issued a new appeal for Gazans to leave areas of the southern city of Khan Younis, where it is battling Hamas. Israel calls the city the “main stronghold” of the militants, saying it has been fighting them “house to house.” A hospital in central Gaza said it received more than 70 fatalities in the space of a day as Israel presses on with its campaign to destroy Hamas. The United States is facing condemnation after it vetoed a UN Security Council resolution Friday calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
