I Still Won’t Greet Him!– Mr Macaroni Defies Critics, Calls Out Nigerians for Worshipping Politicians

Popular Nigerian actor and content creator, Adebowale Adedayo, aka Mr Macaroni has sparked fresh controversy after doubling down on his refusal to greet Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, during a recent public event. Despite facing intense backlash, the outspoken entertainer insists he has no regrets and would do it again without hesitation.

In a fiery series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) Mr Macaroni declared: Next time I see him, I still won’t greet him. And this time, even if he calls me, I won’t answer. You people will cry today, tomorrow, and forever

His stance has divided Nigerians, with some applauding his defiance and others accusing him of arrogance and disrespect. But Mr Macaroni, known for his activism against bad governance did not hold back, slamming Nigerians who defend corrupt politicians instead of holding them accountable for the economic crisis ravaging the country.

The people are suffering! Prices of everything are skyrocketing! Instead of holding your leaders accountable, you are busy kissing their bumbum,”** he fumed.

He went further to expose alleged hypocrisy within political circles, accusing some critics of secretly collecting bribes from the same leaders they publicly condemn.

Some of you call out your governors every day, then sneak behind closed doors to collect envelopes and become praise singers, he wrote, taking a swipe at political opportunists.

Mr Macaroni also called out Nigerians who worship politicians branding them as slaves to the servants of the people.

These people have no honour, no respect, no dignity whatsoever. They defend their oppressors, and that’s why Nigeria is the way it is

Despite facing constant attacks for his bold stance, the entertainer vowed never to compromise his principles.

I am no saint, but I will never betray my conscience. Do I get tired of the attacks? Yes. But I will never sell out.

Closing his remarks, he took aim at

tribal politics, condemning those who use ethnicity to divide Nigerians for political gain.

Shame on all those who promote tribal bigotry! But kudos to every Nigerian who rises above the mischief and stands for peace and unity.

Mr Macaroni’s refusal to greet Governor Sanwo-Olu has now ignited a national debate: Is he a fearless activist standing against oppression, or just an attention-seeking agitator?
