Igbo Stakeholders Forum, an umbrella body of Igbo professionals, technocrats and leaders of thought has endorsed Senator Osita Izunaso for president of the 10th senate.
Speaking while addressing the media at the end of their general meeting in Lagos, the Convener of the group, Prince Nixon Okwara noted that the reason for the endorsement is because Senator Izunaso has what it takes to lead a successful senate.
According to him, Izunaso is an experienced, loyal and committed party man, who as the National Organizing Secretary of All Progressive Congress APC contributed a lot to the successes of the ruling party.
He also noted that Izunaso is from Imo State, which is the first APC controlled state in the south east.
Speaking further, Prince Okwara disclosed that Senator Izunaso has the backing of most of the Igbo leaders both in Igbo land and in Diaspora, adding that giving him the position will go a very long way in dousing the tension in the country.
