The Naira experienced mixed movements in different markets. In the parallel market, it appreciated slightly to **N1,715 per dollar**, up from **N1,725 per dollar** over the previous weekend. Meanwhile, in the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), the Naira **depreciated** to **N1,603.16 per dollar**, compared to **N1,600.78 per dollar** last Friday, marking a **N2.38 depreciation**.
Data from FMDQ also showed an increase in the volume of dollar transactions in the official market, with turnover rising by **2.4%** to **$359.22 million**, up from **$350.72 million** last weekend.
As a result of these changes, the gap between the parallel market and NAFEM exchange rates has narrowed to **N111.84 per dollar**, compared to **N124.22 per dollar** last Friday.
