The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reaffirmed its preparedness for the upcoming Anambra State Governorship election, scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Speaking at the first quarterly consultative meeting with political parties in Abuja, INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, stressed the Commission’s commitment to delivering a transparent, fair, and credible election. He called on political parties to adhere to the election schedule to ensure a smooth process.
Professor Yakubu announced that primaries for the nomination of candidates will hold between March 20 and April 10, 2025. He urged political parties to submit their schedules promptly, emphasizing the importance of compliance with timelines to avoid delays in the electoral process.
